This blog entry has been shut down by order of FBI. How they found it I got no idea, but I recieved an e-mail telling me to shut it down or action would be taking. The email looked real enough so im not going to risk it.

Whew, I can hear your anger on this one. I don't agree much less understand the ideas behind fundamentalist but one thing I think is we have to love people regardless. I dont know, my opinion. There is nothing wrong with receiving welfare. Government and media propaganda is responsible for you thinking this way. I would assume you remember the great 'bludgers' the Paxtons that had Australia outraged a few years ago?
I would bet that the term 'dole bludger' was coined by some political spin doctor for the sole reason of making being on welfare a bad thing.
Do you honestly think that if there are fewer people on welfare the government will decrease the incredibly high taxation Australia suffers from? I call bullshit.
If you ask me, there is something wrong with working 40 hour weeks $900 and then getting 40% taken out of it before you even see it. Then having to pay 10% on everything you buy thanks to the GST. Not to mention all of the fees, levies and fines that we have to pay. Then there is superannuation which is nothing more than a tax to avoid paying elderly people pensions in the future. The government tries to make you believe it's yours but really it's not. Not until you retire. All of this superanuation money goes a long way to propping up the economy aswell.
There is nothing wrong with getting something for nothing.Being on welfare means you just don't get to have the fancy things. No new cars, no overseas holidays. No wasting money at all.
If people can get by like that then I say all the power to them.
Your argument about it being easy to get a job doesn't fly either. Something that I have seen several times in my friends and cowrkers works as follows:
A friend will loose their job for some reason or another and then, after being unemployer for only a few weeks, will start in the "shit scrubbing job" you describe. They work at this job with the belief that they will find something better later. They put in long hours at their shit scrubbing job. They make friends at their shit scrubbing job. They might get a car loan or move to a nicer house and they now rely on this shit scrubbing job for income. They have no time to look for another job now, but they seem to have no interest either. They are happy scrubbing shit.
Fuck that. Nobody should be happy scrubbing shit.
mmm interesting thoughts and thankyou, you make good points on the 40 hour a week thing, however i still reckon people need to start at doing nothing before becoming something, to many people think its to easy... i dont know, my views on this entry has changed since i added this entry... im not sure what to think anymore, im just ot happy being young and ignorant, i work to get money, and spend the rest of my time with friends, surfing...just having fun really, which i think people are forgeting how to do...the world is becoming to serious, and i blame to media and fuck wits like howard and bush!!! however that is very shallow and some what pradentict, not sure how to spell that, and not sure what it means but sounds good!
